Ticket to Ride

 LISTEN here
Graham Sclater was one of a number of musicians who in the 1960s found themselves with a ticket to ride to play in Germany, in particular Hamburg, and other parts of mainland Europe, often booked for long hours in sometimes exciting and sometimes quite seedy clubs. Graham plays tribute to those who didn't make it through the sixties. But he himself is a survivor and has many tales to tell about life on the road and happenings in the clubs. Graham regailed us with his fascinating stories which were an inspiration for his novel
Ticket to Ride.

Full information about the novel Ticket to Ride and other books by Graham Sclater can be found on Graham's website. Order his books on this website and Graham will send you signed copies if requested.
Thank you to Cecil Hatfield for the studio pics.

Graham has more recently set up Tabitha Records, making and releasing some excellent and varied recordings by artists who include ace local musician Jay Tamkin plus inspirational Australian acoustic act Kotadama and Birmingham based diva Daniella Sage.
